A running coach to help you achieve your goals

Do you have a running goal but aren't sure how all the training will fit around family, work and life in general?

Have you struggled with motivation at times but would love to get to the start line feeling confident and excited?

Are you chasing a personal best but aren’t sure what type of running workouts will help?

Do you want to return to running after having a baby but are concerned about the effects on your pelvic floor?

Have previous injuries limited your training? But now you are ready to set a new goal and want to reduce the risk of injury returning?

Do you want to run so you can keep fit, keep active and keep moving throughout your life?

Whatever your goal, we can achieve it together!

Here's why Coach Nicola's running coaching works!

I understand how hard it can be to fit training around life. How sometimes it can feel a bit selfish to go for a long run whilst the other half or children are waiting at home. But also how you need to have that me time, that chance to escape and push yourself to achieve goals.

I know how disappointing it can be when times don't improve and how it can affect your motivation and love for running. But I know that this doesn't have to be permanent, that your mojo can come back.

I understand why as a runner you want to get back running but as a new mum you aren't sure if it is safe or sensible for you to do so. I know how important it is to you to get running again, how to help you to achieve new fitness goals and to gain confidence in your post-baby body.

I also know that sometimes life happens. People get sick, work gets busy, things can feel overwhelming. With coaching we can come up with solutions so that you can carry on training despite interruptions. And as your coach I will make sure that one small set back doesn’t deter you from your goal.

I know what it is like to have an injury stop you running. How the fear of injury can limit how hard you push yourself when you return to running.

I understand how challenging it can be to start something new. To find the confidence to lace up the trainers and take that first step out of the door for your first run.

But I also know how running can boost our confidence, fire up our souls and give us the head space to be active, engaged and happy.

If you have been looking for someone to support you on your running journey look no further!

I have coached people who have never ran before, runners who have achieved marathon PBs, new trail runners who have completed multi-stage events and everything in between. Together we have worked to set and achieve goals, worked around unexpected life events, made sure stress was kept to a minimum.

The key to my coaching is you

No training plan is alike, just as no runner is alike.

Your training begins with an in depth call. I will ask about your running history, your goals and your current training. I want to know what motivates you, if you’ve had any injuries and what you would like to achieve.

From this I create a training programme around you, your life, work and family. By setting a realistic but challenging training plan we make sure that you get to the start line feeling confident and excited.

No dream is too big or too small. Whatever your goal, whether that’s to run your first 5k, run a marathon, run a multi-stage trail event, to get quicker or just to get out there, my running coaching can help.

What people say about Coach Nicola

Nicola knows her stuff but not pushy. Works with you and makes goals achievable. I got my half marathon PB ( 2h 42min to 2h 25 min) and feel a more confident runner

Sue, 121 coaching

My approach to training has changed, and I have increased strength and stamina. Nicola is approachable and friendly and so easy to chat to and have a laugh with. Try out her training programme you will never regret it and you have fun too.

Amanda, 121 coaching

I’ve completed the couch to 5k programme and maintained my running for 8 months and counting. Coming from a place where I didn’t exercise at all I think the coaching has been invaluable in helping me achieve this. I would highly recommend Nicola as she was so attentive to the way I needed to learn. She also massively helped me with my confidence.

Alex, 121 coaching

The programme really helped me to stay consistent. And I think consistency then helped me to just get stronger and stronger as a runner. Nicola is so relatable. I always feel she has my best interests at heart. You can also see she puts a lot of work into making a program specific and tailored to one's needs.

Shathiso, online coaching

Prior to being coached I’d completed a marathon training plan that just about broke me. Thinking “yeah, it’s meant to be this hard”, and flogging my way through it, in hindsight wasn’t how it should have gone. So it’s nice to have some expertise in my corner, because injuries aside, those marathons are still waiting for me.
