My mission is to make a positive difference to your health by making fitness a sustainable choice for you. One that will help you to manage your condition, improve your confidence and reduce your risk of developing other health conditions. And in doing so, keeping you active, mobile and enjoying life.

As a personal trainer and fitness coach qualified to work with people who have long term health conditions, I am here to help you whether you are newly diagnosed or have been managing the condition for a while.

 

Together we can make positive changes that will help you as you work towards your goals, no matter how big (or small!) they are.

 

If you have osteoporosis and are concerned about falls and fractures. Together we will work on building your bone strength through suitable weight-bearing exercise and balance work.

If you have hypertension and want to make positive changes to help lower your blood pressure. Together we will look at small tweaks you can make to improve your heart health with exercise and nutrition.

If you have chronic fatigue syndrome and are wary of exercise increasing fatigue. Together we will work within your available energy levels for the day to ensure you do not feel depleted at the end of a session.

If you have cancer and want to improve your mental and physical wellbeing before, during and after treatment. Together we will create a safe and effective plan tailored to build strength whilst also bringing ease to your body.

If you have COPD and breathlessness is stopping you from being active. Together we will work on building your aerobic activity level at a comfortable pace and in a way that you can always stop to catch your breath.

If you experience anxiety and find the thought of exercising stressful. Together we will work out what activities are best for you, focusing on more mindfulness-based or less formal activities if needed.

If you want to lose weight in order to better manage your health conditions. Together we will work on a sustainable plan that gives you advice and guidance on nutrition and ways to increase your daily activity levels.

My fitness coaching goes beyond the long term health conditions listed above. Before we start working together you will be asked to complete a screening form and have a chat with me. This allows us to discuss your medical history and ensure that you are ready to start a new fitness routine.

As part of this discussion you may be asked for a GP referral letter. If I think I am not the most suitable person for you and your condition, I may recommend you speak to another professional. This way you can be assured that you are getting the right coaching needed for your specific condition.

  • A bespoke training plan tailored to your health conditions, exercise experience, goals and available time.
  • A workout programme that takes into consideration any special requirements, that will build strength, mobility and flexibility as needed. Delivered via an app.
  • Nutrition advice and guidance
  • Accountability with regular check ins and online support with the ability to alter the training plan if needed.

Online coaching is available worldwide, excluding North America. As long as you have a computer and an internet connection I can coach you.
